Alaska – Kako Retreat Center

Kako Retreat Center was established as a non-profit organization and incorporated in the state of Alaska in 1988. Dave went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2014 after having served as the Director of Kako for twenty years.  His wife, Vera, has chosen to continue serving the Lord at Kako.  With her passion still alive Kako continues to grow impacting the lives of many in southwestern Alaska.

Kako is a place set aside to provide Christ-centered retreats, seminars, and counseling to encourage & help people living in the remote villages of Alaska. Kako reaches out to the youth of Alaska through various camping programs. Another means of encouragement is the outreach work for visiting, counseling, and Bible Studies.

Heritage AFlame has been parterning with Kako Retreat Center for twenty years. On an annual basis work teams are sent to KRC to support the work. Financial/Prayer support and friendship are offered to the staff of Kako as needed to maintain the work that is happening in these remote villages in Alaska through this retreat center.
